Violation!

Provo city must have plans to build some big new building or pimp out their fleet of police cruisers this year because they recently increased a few of their parking violation fees by 150%.

Yep, I got a parking ticket today. I’m not proud of it, but the ticket was justified. However, the fee for the ticket is not. Seriously, $25 for being in a parking spot for more than 2 hours? Has Provo parking real estate become as valuable as somewhere like New York or Boston?

Thanks Provo. I hope that the money collected will at least go towards fixing your crappy streets.

    Be sure to pay it within like 5 to 10 days though… I forgot about my $25 ticket and a month later it was a whopping $75.

    I paid it before I even posted this. Luckily they have an online payment processor so I don’t have to spend a stamp too.

    Egads! I hope it goes to fixing their streets too. When I first moved there I don’t know how many times I pulled over to check my tires b/c I thought they were flat. Their roads are worse than in Arkansas. And Arkansas battles it out for the poorest state every year.

    Eric just got one a few nights ago for parking the wrong direction in front of our house! 20 bucks!
